About the event
Are your kids’ friends getting their information about sex from their friends and the media?
Lowcountry Youth Services has designed the Let's Talk About It Party to help parents, youth leaders and anyone who’s interested better engage youth in discussions that really matter!
How:
- Keynote Speaker - Nadia Klincewicz, Community Health Educator, Planned Parenthood South Atlantic
- Conversation Starters
- Scenarios
- Breakout Session
Every October, Fact Forward participates in Let’s Talk Month, a public awareness campaign founded by Advocates for Youth that encourages open communication between young people and their parents or other trusted adults. Believe it or not, teens want to hear from their parents regarding love, sex, and relationships. Starting age-appropriate conversations early and continuing into early adulthood will help young people make smarter decisions regarding their sexual health.
This event will be an opportunity for us to open the doors to communication with our young people that will make open communication a much easier bridge to cross as a family.
