Since its inception, the Lowcountry Youth Services has served over 1200 young men and women and their families.

OUR APPROACH

​

Our mentoring programs provide a platform for young people to build positive connections with adults and peers through youth empowerment groups. Our organization implements an evidence-based curriculum from the Council for Boys and Young Men and The Girls’ Circle to give participants a chance to learn meaningfully about themselves and the world around them.

Young Men Rise is a strengths-based in-school approach to mentorship that is intended to cultivate a social environment that effectively competes with the risk-taking norms of young men.

Girls On The Rise is the sister program to our Young Men Rise program and provides an inclusive environment that honors cultural, family, and social-emotional beliefs and incorporates aspects of cultural practices in the program.

INSTITUTE
Mentor and Mentees South Carolina

Young Leaders' Institute is a summer program for boys and girls in the 6th-8th grades. The camp focuses on providing college and career readiness, social-emotional learning, and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
